The inaugural MLP Cup sparked instant rivalries as the Wheaton club brought home the trophy. Now they’ll defend it on home turf — and Batavia and Woodridge are coming hungry to take it away.

How To Register (2 teams per club):
Step 1: Form a team (2 x Females and 2 x Males) with an accumulated DUPR rating between 14 and 16. Teams MUST BE established before signing up for the event.

Important information to know:

• We’ll primarily use DUPR ratings (or a similar method) to gauge your team’s overall skill level. No DUPR? No worries—we’ll use alternative ways to determine the best fit for your team.
• Don’t have a team in mind? No problem! Let us know you’re interested, and we’ll add you to a waitlist. If enough individual players sign up, we’ll help create new teams or fill any open spots on existing ones.
• Scores will NOT be submitted to DUPR.

What’s MLP?  MLP is an innovative gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court. In the MLP format, team matches are composed of four games, with the first two (2) games being women’s doubles or men’s doubles, and the final two (2) games consisting of mixed doubles. If teams are tied after the four (4) games, an innovative singles tiebreaker known as a DreamBreaker is played.

This unique dynamic means that teamwork as a skill is just as critical as speed or technique on the court, and a big part of the community aspect of the sport!
